H.264 and H.265 (HEVC) Bitrate Guide

How to adjust the FPS, resolution and bitrate to get a smooth stream?

* Start with these baseline settings: 720p, 30FPS, 25000 Kbps (use H.265 if your camera supports it).
* Stream is choppy? -> stop the stream, decrease the bitrate to 1500 Kbps, start the stream again.
* Stream is still choppy? -> stop the stream, decrease the resolution to 480p and the bitrate to 1200 Kbps, start the stream again.

Your stream looks great with the baseline settings but you want an even smoother stream experience?

* Stop your stream, increase the FPS to 60, increase your bitrate to 3500 Kbps, start the stream again.
